Obituary of Lyndon "Bob" Bruce Bussell
It is with profound sadness, that we share the passing of our beloved father, Lyndon “Bob” Bruce Bussell, who passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024, at the age of 80, in Auburn Maine. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man who loved God, his country, and his family. He was proud of his family and cherished time spent together. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, wood cutting, gardening, and raising cattle. He was an animal lover as well as an animal advocate.
He celebrated over thirty years of sobriety and took pride in mentoring and building relationships through the Alcoholics Anonymous recovery community.
Lyndon was born in Hartland, Maine, to Charlie and Leah (Trafton) Bussell. He was the eldest of three children. He graduated from Piscataquis Community High School. He served his country with honor in the United States Army. Through the years, he worked in manufacturing, operating heavy equipment, and forestry.
Lyndon is survived by his partner, June Lowe; his children, Kendall Judd, Stacy (Randy) Edgerly, Eric (Tammy) Bussell, Cory (Jean) Bussell, and Robert (Mary) Bussell; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his brother, Vaughn (Darlene) Bussell; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Leah (Trafton) Bussell; his son, Charlie Bussell; his sister, Audrey (Bussell) Butler; and his beloved dog, Hershey.
Our deepest gratitude to the staff of Togus VA Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, and Androscoggin Hospice House for providing the best care available for Lyndon.
