Abbot - Jaylene (Melanson) Cutting "Jay, JayBah, Wood Booger", 56, passed away at home May 29, 2024. She was born in Dover, NH September 19, 1967, the daughter of Helen (Henderson) Lawson and Richard Melanson. Jaylene was known for her kind and loving nature, always generous and proud of her family. She adored her dog, Cub, and her two kitties, Binx and Lynx, as well as her grand puppies, Rhett and Ellie. Jaylene attended Dover High School and loved spending time with her childhood friend, Missy, cherished riding her four-wheeler with her good friend, Tricia, on Maine trails, planting flowers, decorating rock gardens, moose watching, bird hunting, and spending time with her family on her deck. She also enjoyed raising her beloved animals, chasing chickens out of her flower gardens, and working with her husband Rob to build their forever home. Jaylene is survived by her husband, Robert Cutting; daughter, Autumn Cutting and significant other, Jacob Rice; brother, Jeff Melanson; sister-in-law, Jessica Melanson; sister, Wendy Bubar; brother-in-law, Chris Bubar; father-in-law, Wayne Cutting; sister-in-law, Julie Wisniske; nieces: Alicia Melanson, Bri Bubar, Ci Hall, Cara Small; nephews, Justin Melanson, Tyler Small, Jeremy Small; cousins: Leah LaChance, Kim Henderson, Steve Henderson; and loving friends: Missy Lirette, Ray Eagen, Tricia Harmon. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Lawson; father, Richard Melanson; stepfather, Jim Lawson; nephew, Jason Melanson; mother-in-laws: Carla Cutting, Colleen Witham; and beloved pets: Pretzel, Dee, Bear, Skittles, Moose, Fuppy (Jax), Moe-Moe, Cash. A ceremony to honor Jaylene's life will be determined at a later date. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Animal Orphanage in Old Town, Maine, P.O. Box 565, Orono, ME 04473.
