Frederick "Rick" C. Hanson Obituary

Milo – Frederick “Rick” Carl Hanson, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 29, 2024. He was born December 5, 1948, in Hartford, CT, the son of Fred G. and Donna L. (Carpenter) Hanson. He was raised in Houlton, Maine, and later moved to Kenduskeag and Milo where he raised his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Rick was passionate about hunting and fishing. He loved serving God and he enjoyed his church. He loved to read and talk about politics, the Bible, and other things he was passionate about. Rick proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Germany and worked for the Carpenter’s Union Local 349 for 42 years.


Rick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet (Lovell) Hanson; his daughter, Pam and her husband; his son, Eric and his wife; his 3 grandchildren, Bethany, Alexa and Kaitlyn and their families; his brothers, Dale, Tom, and Randy; and sister, Amber. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Penny; and brother, Matt.


A graveside memorial service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
