Obituary of Marilyn J. Northup

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Guilford - Marilyn Joan (Reynolds) Northup, 83, went to her heavenly garden of beautiful flowers on January 26, 2024. She was born on April 17, 1940, to Stephen and Cecile Reynolds in Rhode Island. In 2005, Marilyn retired from Moosehead Manufacturing after 24 years. Marilyn was a strong willed, determined, loving person who adored her family and friends. She was very proud of the beautiful property she brought her four sons up on. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, canning the vegetables from her garden, reading, cooking, and nights out dancing while meeting loving people at the Wagon Wheel with Jeanne. Marilyn also enjoyed her adventures of snowmobiling and traveling with Anne. She had so many great friends who she loved and appreciated. Marilyn is survived by her four sons, Stuart and fiancée, Melissa, of Texas, Stephen and fiancée, Teresa, of Parkman, David and wife, Kathy, of Guilford, and Dennis of Brownville. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, Kristen, Casey and husband, Cheyenne, Emily, Paige, Bradlee, Branden, Elayna, Jeremiah, and Kourtnee; seven great-grandchildren who loved her unconditionally; and two brothers, Richard and wife, JoAnn, of Vermont, and Stephen of Guilford. Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Stephen of Rhode Island in 2000, and her mother of Rhode Island and Guilford in 2009. Her family gives thanks to all the people who helped take care of Marilyn during the past years since her accident in 2014. A private service to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held this summer. Please remember Marilyn and the love she had for flowers and gardening by planting a plant in your garden this Spring. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
