Southington, CT – Maxine D. (Gould) Mitchell, 99, died December 5, 2023, at Southington Care Center. Maxine was born July 31, 1924, in Guilford, the daughter of James L. Ducette and Eunice Greeley. She loved spending time at her summer home at Davis Pond, Guilford. Maxine was loved by all who knew her, especially her family. She would enjoy every moment she had with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Michael E. Gould and Simonne Gould of Connecticut; five grandchildren, Eric and Beth Gould of Tennessee, Steven and Stacy Gould of North Carolina, James and Margarita Jo Gould of North Carolina, Israel Gould of Maine and Michele and Robert Lombardi of Connecticut; eight great grandchildren, and two nieces. Maxine was preceded in death by her son, Chandler S. Gould Jr., her first husband, Chandler S. Gould Sr. and her second husband, Mark S. Mitchell Sr. Visitations will be from 1-2 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, with a memorial service to be held at 2 pm.
