Please share a memory of Lisa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dover-Foxcroft - Lisa C. Pangburn, 57, passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 16, 1966, in Bangor, the daughter of E. Jerome and Enid G. (Bishop) Stevens. Lisa grew up in Dover-Foxcroft and graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1984, before attending college and starting her family. Lisa’s proudest accomplishments were her time as a homemaker raising her three children and later as an Ed Tech at Sedomocha Elementary School. Lisa loved being around children, caring for them and nurturing them as they grew. She was always willing to give her time and energy to make any child’s day brighter. She was passionately involved in all her children’s activities whether it was girl scouts, church choir, or being a sports mom. She was always making sure to support any activity that her children had interest in. This carried into the lives of her seven grandchildren as she loved taking part in similar activities for them. There is nothing Lisa enjoyed more than spending time with her grandbabies and being their Nana. In 2001, Lisa met the love of her life, Scott, and they were married on May 21st, 2005. They spent 22 years together raising their family, creating many wonderful memories with their children and grandchildren along the way. Apart from being a wife, mother, and Nana, Lisa loved animals and had numerous pets throughout the years. She donated her time to fostering dogs and making sure they went to a loving home. She adopted dogs and cats from pet rescues and animal shelters and treated all her pets like part of the family. Lisa loved to travel with her friends and family. She looked forward to her time spent with Scott every year on the many cruises they took together. They also created wonderful memories on their family trips and vacations to Disney World. Lisa looked forward to her “Girls Trips” with her close friends anytime they could get away together. For most of her life, Lisa made annual trips to Newfoundland to visit her beloved Nana and family, eventually sharing this trip with her children. These were some of her most cherished memories from her childhood and as a mother. Lisa was blessed to connect with her biological Mom, Terry and her family in 2006. Her family grew to gain a stepfather, three sisters, four nieces, and four nephews. She bonded with these new family members like they had always been a part of her life and cherished these relationships. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Scott Pangburn, who was by her side throughout her cancer journey; three loving children, Danielle Koncinsky and her husband Andrew, Emily Mallory and her husband Ian, and Chase Hutchinson and his wife Olivia; seven grandchildren, Jeremii, Jackson, Vera, Colbie, Cora, Silas, and Lane; biological mother, Terry Gormely; mother and father in-law, Alan and Linda Pangburn; brother, Robert Stevens; three sisters, Tracey Murrell and husband Paul, Trudy Richards and husband Russ, Kristi Swartz and husband Mike; sister in-law, Katy Pangburn Caruso and husband Andrew; 10 nieces and nephews, Brandon, Ryan, Megan, Sarah, Brianna, Abbie, Izaak, Eli, Cole, and Chloe; her special Aunt Dee Dee Williams; her Newfoundland Family; many close friends including Missy and family, Penny, Valerie, Nancy, Julie, and Lynn; three fur babies, Jake, Ruby, and Jerry; and her Sedomocha Family. Lisa will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her parents E. Jerome and Enid Stevens; her loving Nana, Vera Bishop; two stepfathers, Lewis Albert and Bill Gormely; and Godson Mitchell Nuite. Lisa’s family would like to thank the amazing and compassionate staff at Northern Light Mayo Hospital for the care and treatment that she received during her battle.
