Williamsburg – Grace E. Leeman, 69, passed away October 13, 2023, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born October 6, 1954, in Milo, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel (True) Heath. Grace worked in accounting services with Sears for many years. She also worked as a mail carrier and at Dexter Shoe Co. Grace had a love for genealogy and history. She even wrote a book on the Civil War. She cared greatly for her community and served as President of the local historical society, Treasurer of the Brownville Community Church, and President of the Mayo Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Grace is survived by her husband, Frank Leeman; daughters, Starr and Stacy Leeman; three grandchildren, Frank, Macy, and Thomas Wood; great-granddaughters, Aria Durant and Aleeah Grace Thompson; brothers, Guy Heath and Raymond Heath; sisters, Mary Knox and Sandra Darrah; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 2PM Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Brownville Community Church with Pastor Jack Williams officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
