Dear Folsom Family,
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Max was not only the best pilot that I ever knew, but he was one of the kindest, funniest, and most generous souls that I’ve been fortunate enough to know. I am so lucky to have been able to call him a friend, I can’t imagine your grief right now, but please know you’re in my thoughts and prayers.
With Sympathy, Guy Comer

Judy and Family, I'm so sorry you had to lose Max. I met Dick, Max and the crew at Folsom's when they became Cessna Dealers. I covered New England, NY and PA as District Service Manager. Folsom's was one of my favorite accounts and I always looked forward to my visits there. Max you are "Cleared for takeoff, runway 27. Maintain runway heading, altitude your discretion. God Speed!"

My sincerest heartfelt sympathies to the entire Folsom family. Max was a gem of a person. I was a friend of Ellen's and met Max and many other Folsoms one year celebrating New Year's Eve at one of Dick Folsom's infamous hangar parties. What a great time we had that weekend, partying, bowling, skiing and doing all the great things Greenville has to offer. Max loved life and lived it to the fullest doing what he loved. Who could ask for more? It seems he was taken from you at such a young age. Cherish all your wonderful memories of a life well lived. Rest in peace, Max. I'm sure Ellen is right there by your side. Rest easy and continue soaring through the heavens. Fair winds. Gaile Nicholson

Heartfelt condolences to the family of my childhood buddy, Max. So many memories I talk about to this day. Whether it was careening down the lake in his Opel GT with Max at the wheel, me on the hood, Jeff Pelletier on the roof, Burt Whitman inside and Brian Crossman on the trunk and Max spinning it at 70
Miles per hour down the ice. Or flying with Max and his cats and him putting them in a weightless mode floating around the cabin. Max never taught me to fly but he taught me what life on the edge is all about. We always had a blast. I miss you my friend.

In addition to all Max's accomplishments was the fact he was a great story teller. I was fortunate to listen to him a few times over the years and the stories were captivating, exciting and most times downright funny. Max was one of a kind. He will be missed.

Max taught me to fly, a mid-life dream of mine. We spent many hours together flying around Maine, Labrador, Quebec and New England. I treasure my friendship with Max. He was the best and Greenville won't be the same without him. Tailwinds my good friend.
