Obituary of Paula Jean Nystrom

Greenville – Paula Jean Nystrom, 64, passed away suddenly July 24, 2023, at C.A. Dean Northern Light, Greenville. She was born April 4, 1959, in Waterville, the daughter of Louis E. and Anita B. (LaBrie) DuBois. She was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother who cared deeply, not only for her own family, but also for neighborhood children who often gathered at her apartment. Paula fondly spoke of her years spent as a girl scout troop leader, Sunday school teacher, and member of the Jonesboro grange. Paula is survived by her four daughters, Melissa Nystrom and significant other, Jeff Corsa, Charlotte Nystrom, Elizabeth Nystrom, and Britney Nystrom and her significant other, Brandon Blair; two sons, Sean Nystrom and Christopher Rice; six grandchildren, Kayla, Michael, Landyn, Gunner, Sophia, and Asher; two brothers, Carroll DuBois and wife, Genevieve, and Steven DuBois and wife, Sue; two sisters, Louise Martin, and Mary Ann Beverly and husband, Bert; the father of her children, Walter Nystrom; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She will be deeply missed by all. A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held 10am Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Greenville Cemetery, with Pastor Russ Carr officiating. A celebration of Paula’s life will be held after the service at the New Life Church, 60 Mayhew Manor Road, Greenville. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
