Dover-Foxcroft – Chester E. Pooley Jr., 78, passed away July 8, 2023, at Hilltop Manor, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born July 3, 1945, in Lincolnville, the son of Chester E. Sr. and Yvonne M. (Thibodeau) Pooley. Chester was an avid hunter and passionate about his gun collection. He proudly served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. After his time with the military, he worked over 35 years at Bath Iron Works. Chester is survived by his wife, Rita (Ross) Pooley; son, Aaron Pooley; daughter, Donna Nichols; grandchildren, Mikayla Pooley, Elizabeth Mason, Michael, Alex, and Joseph Nichols; brother, Phil Pooley; and many other extended family members. A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held 9AM Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt.
