Guilford - Dottie Melia Maheux, 78, passed away at Northern Light EMMC in Bangor, Maine, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Bristol, CT, on July 19, 1944, daughter of George Austin Melia and Virginia Dean Melia. She married Walter Maheux on June 11,1966, who passed in 2012, after 45 years of marriage. Dottie is survived by her children, Lanna Lee Maheux-Quinn and William George Maheux; son-in-law, Edmund Charles Davis-Quinn; along with her sibling, Alan Melia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and son, Marshall Walter Maheux, as well as her parents and brothers, Malcolm, Gerald, and Roger. After spending years as a stay-at-home mom, Dottie spent several years working as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, finishing out her career at Pettingill Ross in Gorham Maine. Since retirement, Dottie has enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, Pat and April. She especially loved Taco Tuesday with her widows’ group at the Red Maple, and would encourage us all to have a drink of your choice to celebrate her memory. There will be a graveside service 11 AM, Friday July 7, 2023, at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford, and a gathering directly afterward at Riverbend Homes Rec Room.
