Lennie was such a good man. He made my Auntie Marjorie happy and was her true soulmate, and I am thankful he chose to spend his life with her. Of course, my favorite memories will always be of his patience and kindness when my son Ian was little. Ian was a loud kid, and he loved Lennie and got excited when he would come visit. Ian’s voice would get loud enough to make Lennies hearing aids squeal, but instead of asking him to quiet down, Lennie would just quietly shut off the hearing aids and take them out. Ian would pat Lennie’s belly and ask,”Hey Uncle Lennie, you got a baby in there?” and Lennie would chuckle. We are going to miss Lennie’s presence so much, he meant a lot to us.

I've known Lennie since I was a young girl and he is a former brother-in-law of mine. He was always a good hearted man since he was a young man and always friendly and kind. He will always hold a special place in my heart and in my memories of him. RIP dear Lennie and thank you for my two beautiful nieces Angie and Terri.

I remember a time when I sorely needed to get away. I went to Cowans Cove with my parents and Uncle Lenny took me fishing in his boat. I’d never fished like that- didn’t even know what a down rigger was. He knew right where to go to get me to the big fish! I will never forget that he took me away for a while. Nothing heals a broken heart like fishing with Lenny! What a good man. We will miss him very much.
