Obituary of Gerald E. Jardine

Please share a memory of Gerald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Greenville - Gerald Everett Jardine peacefully passed away Friday May 26, 2023, at the age of 68. Gerry (Bub) was born in Greenville, ME on August 24, 1954, to Jim and Arlene Jardine. He grew up in Greenville working at his grandfather’s gas station, or as we called it, “Pup’s Garage”. He then moved on to working in the woods. Whether running a grader, moving a lowbed or hauling wood, it was always the heavier the better! Spending months at Pittston Farm, Comstock, or on the Golden Road, Bub loved the North Maine Woods. Coming out of the woods for mud season and getting his hair cut was always a big annual event. Bub also drove cross country for Trans Coastal Corp. Bub loved playing pranks on all the kids in the family as well as the guys he worked with. Surprise attacks with water guns and filling jelly donuts with a grease gun were some of his favorites! That grin of his got him in and out of a lot of trouble! Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Arlene Jardine. His surviving family members include his brother, Lenny, and his wife, Brenda; his sisters, Sue and husband, Dave Leland, Jan and husband, Buddy Martin, and Jill and husband, Kyle Rich; nephews and nieces, Patrick and Mary Jardine, Russ Martin and family, Kourtney Ray and family, Joshua Rich and family, and Sarah Plummer and husband. We have to include our neighbor, Maria Avery, who always kept Bub laughing. We would like to thank Biny and all her staff in Casco for their TLC and sense of humor while caring for our brother over the last two years. A special thank you goes to Sandy Sykes for her patience and nursing care in Greenville and also to Dawn for her continued care and visits to Bub in Casco. We are so grateful for all your support and help. A family service will be held at a later date. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
