Dover-Foxcroft – Iona M. Walton, 93, passed away May 24, 2023, at her home. She was born October 5, 1929, in Atkinson, the daughter of Harold W. and Violet M. (Leavitt) Davis. She had been employed at Pride Manufacturing for many years. Iona is survived by two sons, Darrell E. Walton and his wife, Pam, of Dover-Foxcroft, and Dean E. Walton and his wife, Jill, of Atkinson; a daughter, Darlene E. Lowell and her companion, Jeff Johnson, of Florida; a son-in-law, Blaine Shannon, of Atkinson; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry W. Walton; a daughter, Debra E. Shannon; two grandchildren, Michelle Walton and Nathan Walton; and three brothers, Harold Davis, Errol Davis, Clifford Davis, and their wives. Iona's family extends special thanks to Beacon Hospice nurses and health care workers for their care during this difficult time. Friends and family are invited to call from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
