Dover-Foxcroft - Randall “Randy” Mitchell, 71, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 6, 1951, in Old Town, Maine. He grew up on Indian Island, with his brother, many cousins, and friends, moving to Dover-Foxcroft after meeting the love of his life, Therma. Randy worked for over 30 years as a telephone lineman, retiring early to enjoy time with his wife and family. He spent many years enjoying the woods of Maine, hiking, hunting, kayaking, and trips “uptah camp”. Albeit stubborn, he loved his family, pets, and friends fiercely. He will be greatly missed. Randy was predeceased by his parents, Mary and John; his sister, Victoria; along with his in-laws, Roland and Ruth Lavigne. He is survived by his wife and “honey”, Therma Mitchell of Dover-Foxcroft; his daughter, Rolinda Mitchell and her fiancé, Justin Bassett, of Portsmouth, N.H.; his son, Jeremy Mitchell of Augusta; his eldest brother, John Mitchell, Jr. and his partner, Mary of Indian Island; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
