Glenburn – Charles Anthony Barnes, Sr., 71, passed away April 25, 2023, in Keene, NH at Westwood Alpine Healthcare Center. Charles was born October 2, 1952, in Bangor, the son of Linwood J. Barnes and Emma M. (White) Barnes. Charles served with the U.S. Army from 1972-1974 in Communications as a Wireman and Platoon Sergeant. He drove a delivery truck for Coca Cola and also worked as self-employed jack-of-all trades. He was father to three children, Jennifer Barnes, Charles Anthony Barnes, Jr., and Marie Barnes; and grandfather to one grandson, Dylan Barnes. Charles “Chuck” “Charley” was a brother to Marlene Barnes (predeceased), Lynette Barnes (predeceased), Dodie (Barnes) Dunham, Daniel Barnes, Loralee (Barnes) Staples, and Holly (Barnes) Weymouth. A graveside service will be conducted 3:30 pm Friday, May 5, 2023, at the family lot in South Dover Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
