Greenville- Maureen H. Gaudet, 83, passed away peacefully April 24, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer's, at Northern Light C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville. She was born December 13, 1939, in Rockwood, the daughter of Leslie M. and Velma (Johnson) Cook. Maureen worked at Maynard’s in Rockwood and Tomhegan Camps. She married Larry at 16 and was married 56 years before his passing. In their retirement years they hunted, fished, and jeeped in the Maine woods with their favorite little dog, Bandit. Maureen is survived by her five children, Terry Gaudet and his wife, Sherry, of Monson, Julie Young and her husband, Lee, Debbie Jones and her husband, Neil, Laurie Fling, all of Greenville, and Tammy Rouillard and her husband, Joel, of New York; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; son-in-law, Bill Fling; grandson, David Leighton; and brothers, Terry and Mickey Cook. The family would like to thank the staff at C.A. Dean Nursing Home and the hospice volunteers for the wonderful care that our mother received. A special thank you goes out to Tammy Philbrook and Anne Ryder. A graveside memorial service will be held 11AM Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the family lot in the Greenville Cemetery.
