Dover-Foxcroft - Patricia R. Brown, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2023. she was born September 15, 1946 in Peekskill, New York. Patricia was born to George and Mary (Metzker)Conklin. Pat, was a dedicated employee at The Public Affairs Office at the United States Military Academy at West Point for 18 years. Her passion was writing press releases about the success of enrolled cadets and having them published in their local hometown paper, thus allowing families to celebrate alongside their loved ones. Pat’s love earned her the nickname “P. Diddy Cake” among her family. Many will remember her generous spirit and giving nature as she often would bake cakes for any child in need as she believed they all deserved one on their birthday. Pat’s family will continue to carry on her legacy for holiday cheer. Her grandchildren were always by her elaborate Easter baskets, and grand Christmas wrapped gifts. Pat is survived by her daughter, Melissa Veraldo; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Schmick and her husband, Jason, Andrew Schmick his wife, Audrey, and Nicole Rochetti; three beautiful great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kaylei, and Lily Mae; her brother Gary and his bride, Camille Conklin; and her sisters, Irene and Debra Brown. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Brown; her sister, Beverly Martin; son-in-law, Peter Veraldo; and her parents. A gathering will be held at a later date this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA. 30394. Arrangements are in the care of Larry Funeral Home.
