Dot and family.....I know I speak for many when I say Dr. Ryder was a wonderful addition to our school system in East Millinocket and Medway. Thank you for sharing him with us: the students, the faculties, the staffs, the communities. The days ahead may be filled with a profound emptiness, but someone once wrote that grief is the reminder that we loved and were loved. May that provide some comfort in your loss.

Hi Dottie: So sorry to hear of Ralph's passing. Although I haven't seen him for a several years, I remember many great times with him during our Superintendent days together. Joanne and I recalled the social meeting at your camp on Wilson one night many years ago - I believe Ralph provided venison for supper that night - always wondered where he got since deer season had come and gone. Please accept our condolences - Ralph was a great guy as was Howard with whom I worked in Dover-Foxcroft. I miss them both!

Indeed, I am saddened to learn that you’re mourning the loss of your dear love one. However, it saddens our God even more. No doubt, you have many fond memories which will resurface from time to time. And because you do have memories, certainly shows that almighty God has memories as well. Therefore, with full confidence you can take comfort in knowing that he longs to restore perfect life to all those in his memory (Job 14:13-15; Rev 21:3, 4). Please accept my condolences at this most distressing time.

I met Ralph only once many years ago. Howie and I were friends in college. He spoke often of his big brother whom he very much admired. Howie took me to meet him. Ralph was obviously a devoted family man who spoke passionately about kids and their education. We had a wonderful visit. I left there with no doubts that Howard's emulation of his brother was clearly well-deserved. If a man can be such a positive role model for his little brother, just think how he must have affected the lives of all the young people he served in education!

My deepest sympathy to all of you for the loss of husband, father, uncle, friend. I will always remember Dr Ryder fondly because he was kind to a shy, quiet girl that had been called in to see "the superintendent"; he teased me and put me at ease. I don't even remember now why I was there, only that he made me feel better. He was such a nice man and will surely be missed. God Bless.

We are so very sad to hear of the passing of Dr, Ryder. He was a kind man, a man of generous thought, and a man of great love for his town- Greenville. Rick was interviewed by Dr. Ryder for his teaching job in Greenville, and we will always remember his smile, kind manner and his adoring story of the moose and his Volkswagen. We send our love and prayers to Mrs. Ryder, and her children. We pray and know that God will give them the strength in the days ahead, and our hearts are also heavy, but full of grace, because God allowed us to meet and know a wonderful person here on earth. We send you our love family of Ralph Ryder- for you are in our hearts and prayers.

My sincere condolences go out to Ralph's family. I am a co worker and friend of Ralph's daughter, Kathy, and though I only had the pleasure of meeting Ralph a couple of times, I have enjoyed hearing Kathy talk about her dad with much love and care. Knowing what a special person Kathy is, I am certain that Ralph was a very special man, who was loved and is still loved by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family as you all remember and celebrate his life.
