Sebec – Joseph Francis Santore, 84, passed away February 10, 2023, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital. He was born October 31, 1938, in Cumberland, MD, the son of Andrew and Vivian (Hamilton) Santore.
Joseph was a school teacher for many years. He taught in Philadelphia schools for fifteen years. He also taught science at Sedomocha Middle School in Dover-Foxcroft for 31 years, before retiring in 2008. Joseph was a traditional Catholic and attended Masses at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Oakland.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, John Santore of Taunton, MA, Katrina Hulley of Seattle, WA, Catherine Meyrat of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Andrew Santore and Robert Santore; and a sister, Vivian Costa , all of Philadelphia.
Visiting hours will be held 1-2pm Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with a Latin Mass to be said by Fr. Letourneau at 2pm. Spring burial will be in the Sebec Corner Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
