My memories of Eric center around his readiness to help,and I was on the receiving end of that help s few times. Once it was on a snowy day & I was driving the family vehicle going to the Elliott's house to make chocolates with my sisters, and I managed to slip the vehicle off their driveway & got stuck. Eric with Darrell got the vehicle out using some of Darrell's woods work equipment. Another time my car needed a new transmission & needed to be taken up north, near Patten - Eric went along with Maurice to help him haul it up there on a trailer - neither one would accept any gas money for it.
Since he married my sister, he has joined us on our family camping trips, enjoying fishing & kayaking. I would bring along the horseshoes & we would enjoy playing a few games. Eric often mentioned while we played, of the times he played horseshoes with BillyRay. Those are a few memories & I look forward to the future when our loved ones we have lost will be free of sickness & pain. Debbie Hodgkins
