Dover-Foxcroft- Daniel Herald Smith, 78, died on November 22, 2022 peacefully at home. He was born in Brunswick, Maine on December 6, 1943, a son of Harold and Lillian (Bennett) Smith. Daniel graduated from Brunswick High school. He was a lobsterman, Maine line bus driver, and train shop business owner in Brunswick, Maine. He was a volunteer of the Orrs Island Fire Department for 15 years. He was an avid Lionel toy train hobbyist, repairmen, and collector. He is survived by his siblings Doris E. Darling of Harpswell, and Gary B. Smith of Sangerville, and by his son Michael H. Smith of Sangerville, daughters Pamela L. Smith of Harpswell, Stephanie R. Alexander of Topsham, Heidi R. Smith of Brunswick; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Celebration of Life will be at the Dover-Foxcroft Church of Nazarene 4 Paine Rd; December 17th, 2022 at 4 pm with potluck meal to follow. Snow date January 7th, 2023.
