Obituary of Robert N. Lemieux
LEMIEUX, Robert N., 78, of Sangerville, ME died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 10, 2022, with his family by his side. Born in Central Falls, RI, Bob lived most of his life in Pawtucket, RI and Dighton, MA before moving to Maine 15 years ago where he found peace and happiness in simple things like tinkering in his workshop and working at Dover True Value where his co-workers became family.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert “Pete” and Cecile, his brother, Michael, and his beloved sister, Claudette who he missed dearly. He is survived by his son, Harry (Kristin) Lemieux, of Brimfield, MA; his brother, Norman (Virginia) Lemieux, of Glocester, RI; his brother-in-law, Edward Corbett, of Attleboro, MA; and many nieces and nephews, including his niece, Bridget McCretton, with whom he shared a special bond and who took loving care of him in his final days.
Bob served in the United States Navy on the USS Lake Champlain and was a proud veteran. He had a unique way of connecting with people and made friends everywhere he went. With a dry sense of humor and a mischievous spirit, he was quick to share a sarcastic comment and easy laugh. He was a caring dad and he Harry were at their happiest when they were out in the yard together bickering over the best way to approach their latest home improvement project. Bob was a dog lover and had a magic touch with training his dogs to be loving, loyal and obedient. He will be missed by his canine best friend, Mossy.
A service will be held at the Notre Dame Cemetery chapel, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket, RI on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with burial immediately following. Family and friends are invited to gather after the burial at LeFoyer, 151 Fountain St., Pawtucket, RI.
