Guilford – Ronald “Ron” Eaton, 59, a longtime resident of Guilford and formerly of Chelmsford, MA, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2022, at his home. Ron was born in Des Moines IA on January 4, 1963, and was the son of the late William and Lois Eaton. He was the longtime significant other of Janice Rawley of Guilford, and close to her sons, Holden Wood of Sangerville and Jacob Rawley of Rockland. Ron was an avid sports fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins, and enjoyed an occasional Celtics game. He especially enjoyed fishing at Barrows Falls or anywhere he thought he would get a bite. Ron loved traveling, and he and Janice had plans to do so. Together they had a great life and very much enjoyed each other’s company. He was educated in the Chelmsford school system where he made many friends, a number of whom he was still close with. In addition to his significant other, Janice, and her sons, Ron is survived by his brother, Gerry and his wife, Romy, of Arlington MA; his sister, Kathy Glidden and her partner, Jim “Caddy” Murphy of Chelmsford, MA; his nephew, Chris Glidden and his wife, Melissa, of Chelmsford, MA; his niece Theresa Marshall and her husband, Ryan, of Somerset, MA; and great nephews and nieces, Ryan and Liam Marshall, and Alexis, Madelyn and Lucas Glidden. Calling hours will be held 4-7PM Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Chelmsford, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
