Obituary of Donna L. Hall

Dexter – Donna L. (Smith) Hall, 91, wife of the late Malcolm S. Hall, went to be with her Lord on September 3, 2022. She was born July 6, 1931, in Rockland, the daughter of Ralph and Olive (Wood) Smith. Donna graduated from Crosby High School in Belfast in 1950, and later attended the University of Maine in Augusta. Her family gave her many hours of love and pleasure. She especially loved the great-grandchildren and considered it a privilege to be part of their growing up years. She liked to knit and crochet, but baking for her family and friends was a joy. She also enjoyed writing and her friends in the MFCW writers group were very dear to her as was the congregation of Garland Christian Fellowship of which she was a member. Donna was predeceased by her parents and by her husband of 31 years, Malcolm S. Hall and by their daughter, Rosalie A. Hall, and a special aunt, Anna (Wood) Scribner, who raised her. She is survived by her son, Eric F. Hall and his wife, Susanna of Garland, and by seven grandchildren: Ethan and his wife, Sarah, of Garland; Elijah and his wife, Moira, of Paraguay; Hannah of Dexter; Rebekah and her husband, Kenneth Farrington, of Connecticut; Sarah and her husband, Nathan Hebert; Joanna and her husband, Isaac Hebert; and Malena and her husband, Daniel Kresina, all of Garland. She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, a special cousin, Hazel Pendelton, and sister-in-law, Ida Hall, both of Belfast.
