Millinocket and Dover-Foxcroft – Betty L. Dunbar, 84, wife of Terrance E. Dunbar, passed away September 2, 2022, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born May 5, 1938, in Belfast, the daughter of Duane and Louise (Murch) Whitten. Betty was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1956. She was extremely proud of the CNA degree she received through Adult Education. Betty is survived by her husband, Terrance; two sons, Daniel Morgan and his wife, Karon, and Scott Morgan and his wife, Christy; two daughters, Cheryll Cochran and her husband Stephen, and Karen Crocker and her fiancé, Donnie Sorey; a brother, Clyde Whitten and his wife, Faith; a sister, Joan Janke; 11 grandchildren, Ryan Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Alana Morgan, Aaron Morgan, Caitlyn Morgan, John Morgan, Sarah Saunders, Laura Melia, Carrie LaChance, Emily Jackson, and Devan Jackson; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by three step-children. Betty was predeceased by her first husband, Oliver Morgan. Betty’s family extends special thanks to the staff at Woodlands Memory Care and Kindred Hospice. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Colley officiating.
