Dover-Foxcroft - Charlene Clark, 94, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022. She was born May 3, 1928, in Dexter, the daughter of James and Nora (Leo) Cookson. Charlene was born at home weighing only three pounds and she wasn’t given a middle name. She showed them she was here to stay and lived a long, healthy life. Charlene graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1947. She worked alongside her husband, Frank Clark, raising acres of dry beans, farming, and gardening. Charlene enjoyed sharing the produce with family and neighbors. She also enjoyed cooking, yard sales, music, and playing cards. Charlene was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years. She was loved and will be missed by family, friends, and neighbors. Charlene is survived by her sister, Mabel Caler and her husband, Dwight; two sons, Quentin Clark and his wife, Mary, and James Clark and his partner, Katherine Holt; daughter, Cindy Badershall; six grandchildren, Thomas Clark, Shelly Stoots, Tracey Pinkham, Ryan Clark, Greg Clark, and Josh Clark; eight great-grandchildren, Roxas, Brysyn, Carson, Hunter, Taylor, Korgan, Brynn, and Zander; and a niece, Marcia Gearwar. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 71 years, Frank Clark; and a grandson, Justin Clark. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 1:00PM Friday, August 19, 2022, at the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
