Obituary of Milton W. Smith Jr.
Brownville – On July 14, 2022, the Town of Brownville lost a beloved, generous, and caring man. Milton William Smith Jr., 76, passed away at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn after a brief illness. He was born August 18, 1945 in Milo, the son of Helen Juanita (Peters) and Milton William Smith Sr. He lived his entire life in Brownville. He had worked at the Guilford Woolen Mill, at Pride Manufacturing, and was the proud owner of Smith’s Grocery and Lunch for more than twenty years.
Milton was known by the community as a hard worker. Over the years he helped many people with his kind heart and outspoken attitude. He will be missed by all who knew him over his 76 years. God bless and keep you, Milton.
Milton was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Anita McQuade. He is survived by many close friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held 10AM Saturday, August 20, 2022, in the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo.
