Guilford - Yolande T. (Gagnon) Tarsook, 95, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in the loving care of her two daughters, Marlene Desmond and Marjorie Cucinelli. Yolande was born September 6, 1926, in Van Buren, the 6th child of 16 children to Onezime Gagnon and Alice (Tardif) Gagnon. Yolande married Omar H. Tarsook on November 6, 1946 and enjoyed 45 years of marriage until Omar’s passing on March 10, 1991. Yo, as she was affectionately called, enjoyed weekly card games with friends at Riverbend Homes where she resided. She also enjoyed playing bingo and having monthly dinners with a special group of “widows and friends”. Yolande had many adventures with her daughters, Marlene and Margie, from Hollywood Slots in Bangor to enjoying a good country band anywhere they might end up on one of their many roadtrips. Our roadtrips will never be the same without our Mom. In addition to being survived by her two daughters, Marlene and Margie, Yolande was a wonderful grandmother to Rich Tarsook, Matthew Tarsook, Edward Tarsook, Jessica Cucinelli (Mike) and Angela Moser (Jim), and great grandsons, Joshua Moser and Brody Tarsook. Yolande leaves one sister, Yvette Storer, of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Omar and two special son-in-laws, Edward Desmond and Harley Thibedeau, and granddaughter, Danielle Tarsook. Per Yolande’s wishes, a graveside ceremony will be held 11AM Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in the Greenville Cemetery next to her beloved husband. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
