Orono and Dover-Foxcroft – Carol A. Hughes, 83, mother, wife, and friend, passed away June 6, 2022, at Orono Commons. She was born November 28, 1938, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Ralph and Ada (Doore) Herring. Her parents raised her to love horses, motorcycles, and Elvis, and along with her sisters and brother gained the love of music. Carol is survived by her children, Deborah Warren, Vickie Gray and her husband, Danny, Valerie Quimby and her husband, Mike, David Seavey and his wife, Dawn, Danny Hughes and his wife, Stacy, Theresa Hughes-Poissonier and her husband, David; sisters, Rosemary Page and her husband, Doug, Janice Peterson and her husband, Russell, Christine Raymond and her husband, Guy; brother, Ronald Herring and his wife, Debbie; eight grandchildren, Jake Quimby, Scott Gray, Chris Gray, Jason Warren, Sasha Badger, Tasha Stonier, Samantha Smith, and Morgan Moulton; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her infant son, David Seavey Jr.; three husbands, Keith Muzzy, David Seavey, and Richard Hughes; and son-in-law, Joe Warren. A graveside funeral service will be held 11AM Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Mark Stevens officiating. Immediately following the service will be a reception for continued celebration of Carol’s life at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds.
