Nancy lived 83 golden years in this world. She really lived. She lived by setting a good example. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She nurtured her family and freely gave her time and blessings to others.
83 years of a life filled with love…and 63 years married to a one man. That is Remarkable! (Which means Eddie is quite a guy). I’m certain Eddie never dreamed Nancy would ever run off with another man. But she did. She didn’t even have time to write Eddie a note saying she was leaving him for someone else after all those years living under the same blessed roof in the small, albeit quaint town of Milo, Maine. It was time.
She ran off to the Good Lord above, the shepherd of the sheep. He needed her to help Him take care of the flock. Eddie you were always her rock. Now she knows Peter. She is probably already polishing the pearly gates in the same manner in which she cleaned God’s house on earth…(and I’m sure she did a great job keeping your house clean, too). I bet she had a long conversation with Peter upon her arrival, telling him,
“A woman’s work is never done.”
To which he replied,
“ We can most definitely find a few things for you to do around here. You’re over qualified for most of the posted positions. God’s house is huge. You have been welcomed with open arms. We can use all the good help we can get to keep this place in order. We even rolled out the red carpet for you. It looks like it needs to vacuuming already since you arrived during mud season.
God saw all the magnificent work Nancy did in the world and He was pleased. It is now time for her to dwell in the house of the Lord with all the saints and the angels.
May the good graces of Nancy and the love of God be with you during these mournful days and tearful nights. Her light continues to shine in all of you!

I was so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Nancy. I had the pleasure of being invited to join her and two other fun ladies on a bowling team back in the late 70's! Laughter began as the second person was picked up and then we added a couple of other ladies as we left Milo on our way to the bowling alley in Dover-Foxcroft! I have always enjoyed crossing paths with her since that time with her jovial personality on display!
I wish you peace in the coming days.
Sincerely,
Martha Luttrell Kurzius

I have sweet memories of Nancy and will miss her greatly. She always had a smile and was so happy to see you. Memories from the lake and card games. We would arrive at the lake and Nancy and Eddie Mom and Dad would be playing cards laughing away. Miss those days. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers!

Our hearts are broken for all of you! What a wonderful woman she was and left a special place in our hearts for ever. I will never forget how excited she was when Janet's boys were playing some where. She always knew I wanted to know. How they were doing. We would talk at the post office and other places.. we would always laugh as we walked away.. I don't know know which one said something funny...lol I will never forget your camp and eating bologna sandwiches with both mustard and mayo on it..your mom said it was an acquired taste..and fluff the the duck.. all I can say is be greatful u had her as long as you did. She brought you all up with special values and gifts. She was a blessing to all that knew her...she loved you all so much! And I do too!❤
