Guilford – Clyde “Al” Bowley Jr., 85, went to be with Jesus January 29, 2022. He was born December 12, 1936, in LaGrange, the son of Clyde Sr. and Ida (Strout) Bowley. Al graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston. He married Everetta “Ev” Eastman on June 22, 1968. Al worked as a carpenter for 54 years and loved life and was a very humble man, always serving others. Al is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ev; son, Bruce and his son, Stephen; son, Mark and wife, Tessa, and their son, Addison, and two daughters, Charlie and Blake; and his many adopted families. A memorial service will be held 10:30AM Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
