Dover-Foxcroft - Martha A. (Magee) Turke, 73, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2021, at Hibbard’s Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. Martha was the fourth child of George and Geraldine Magee of Guilford. She graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1967. She attended cosmetology school in Bangor. Martha worked at numerous and varied jobs in the area throughout her life and found great fulfillment wherever she worked. She loved snowmobiling and playing golf. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Margaret Mackie. She is survived by her brother, Michael Magee and his wife, Pat, from Corinna; her sister, Mary Downs and her husband, Bill, from Sebec; her sister, Maureen Sylvain and her husband, Nelson, from Abbot; and her brother-in-law, Richard Mackie from Dover-Foxcroft; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children. To the staff of the special care unit at Hibbard’s Nursing Home, Martha’s family would like to extend our sincerest appreciation for all of the loving care she received while at Hibbard’s. There will be a celebration of life and a committal service in the Spring of 2022. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
