Obituary of Roger W. Hesketh
Roger W. Hesketh, 79, passed away unexpectedly December 3, 2021, at his home in Dover-Foxcroft. Roger was born on December 9, 1941, in Milo, to Murray and Beth Hesketh. He was one of four children.
He graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1960, after graduation he married Linda
(D’ Andrea) Prouty then of Dover-Foxcroft and began working at Moosehead Manufacturing, he and Linda had two sons. There are not many households in Piscataquis County that do not have a piece of furniture built by Roger.
After many years in Dover-Foxcroft he moved to Victoria, Texas, where he lived with his second wife, Dawn (Hayes) Noack then of Dover-Foxcroft and worked for Hague Hydro Clean. In 2001, he moved back home to Dover -Foxcroft working in the Guilford schools and spending time woodworking in his shop, visiting family, and enjoying his “retirement” years. Always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire for Nascar races with his late son, William Sr. He made daily trips down over the hill to see Gale and Peter Robinson along with regular trips to Bangor for tools from Home Depot, making stops in to see his sister, Susan, niece, Jennifer Fairbrother, and Jennifer’s boyfriend, Derek.
Predeceased by his parents, Murray and Beth; brother, Dennis Hesketh; and son William Hesketh Sr. He is survived by his son, Bernard “Buster” Hesketh of Kentucky; grandsons, William Hesketh Jr. of Bangor and Cory Hesketh of Kentucky; brother, Wayne Hesketh of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister, Susan Fairbrother of Bangor; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews that all consider him their favorite. He always showed great pride in his kids, grandkids, and extended family.
A graveside service and burial will take place in the spring of 2022.
