Greenville – Peter L. Gravelle, 63, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Northern Light C.A. Dean Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born January 4, 1958, in Greenville, son of Lewis H. and Lena (Breau) Gravelle. Peter grew up in a family of 12 children. He was always a music lover and learned to play guitar later in life. He was employed by The Cabbage Patch all through his school years. While working at one of Greenville's mills, Peter learned sign language to help out a deaf co-worker. He was a woodworker, hunter, and fisherman. He loved wrestling, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was also a proud Grampy. Peter was predeceased by his daughter, Aimee; the love of his life, his wife, Ann (Finney) Gravelle; both parents; brothers, Lewis Jr., Gregory, baby Tom; and sister, Judy. He is survived by his daughter, Kerry; son, James; grandchildren, Lydia, Nora, Violet, and Finnley; sisters, Jean, Lisa, Terri, and Libby; brothers, Clevis, Tim, and Thomas; and many cousins, loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and lifelong friends. An informal celebration of Peter's life will be held 12 Noon Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Woody's Bar and Grill in Greenville, where we’ll honor him with music and invite anyone to come jam.
