Abbot – Malcolm J. Drummond, 89, passed away November 27, 2021, at Westgate Manor, Bangor. He was born February 23, 1932, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Joseph M. and Marion E. (Clukey) Drummond. Malcolm owned and operated Drummond Construction for many years. Also, he owned and operated the Mobil filling station for 20 years in Guilford. Malcolm was a member of the Guilford Fire Department for 17 years, and served as Assistant Chief. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all, his family. Malcolm is survived by his wife, Patricia (Boutilier) Drummond; son, Thomas Drummond and his wife, Harriett; three daughters, Jean Kimball, Carol Davis and her husband, Vaughn, and Susan Geffers and her husband, Charles; sister, Mary Owens; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:30PM Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the Abbot Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guilford Fire Department, P.O. Box 420, Guilford, ME 04443. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
