Nancy and girls, I'm so sorry for your loss. Mr Danforth was one of my favorite teachers. I'll always remember the pep talk he gave me about going on to college. He was a very kind and sincere man.

My uncle was a kind and gentle man. He loved the Lord and he loved his family. His sense of humor was dry, quick and witty. He had me going many times.
I loved hearing stories Uncle Ed told about his upbringing. I enjoyed asking him if he still took his Sunday drives with Aunt Nancy. He said he did but wouldn’t tell me about them. I appreciated his consistency and that this was something special he kept between the two of them.
I fondly remember chatting with Uncle Ed in the back of church, or out to the lake or up to the farm. I remember he wanted to know how I was doing and wasn’t shy to ask or say insightful things. I remember he didn’t want me to help him stand up or walk the stairs.
Uncle Ed fought the good fight and has received his crown. It makes me teary to think about it. I’m thankful for the last few texts and the conversation we recently shared.
Thinking about the family. I know Uncle Ed is missed.

Although it has been many years since I've seen Ed and Nancy, I -- and my assistant, Dianna -- remember them both fondly as special people of faith and light. My prayers and condolences to you, Ed's and Nancy's family and friends. May the peace of Christ be yours, and may his soul await the eternal rejoining with you.

Ed was a fine teacher, who was friendly in the school and at the lake plus he did a fine job keeping the clock at FA basketball games. Sorry for his loss.

Mr. Danforth taught a couple of the classes I took at Foxcroft Academy. I always enjoyed his sense of humor, and his smile. My most vivid memory of him was when he told my English class (in 1974) about a classmate of his from UMO that had just written a book, and that the book was pretty good. His classmate was Stephen King, and the book was Carrie. The next time I got to Freese's in Bangor I bought the paperback and read it! (Now I have quite a few Stephen King books.)
I've lived away from Dover many years now, but it was always nice to say to Ed if I saw him when I was back in town.
To Ed's family I want to express my deepest sympathies. I'm sure he will be missed. Take Care.
