Obituary of Raymond E. Day
Shirley – Raymond E. Day, 63, passed away suddenly October 25, 2021, at his home. He was born March 20, 1958, in Bangor, the son of Philip and Grace (Dennison) Day. Raymond worked as a CNA at Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital and he loved his job, his residents, and his fellow employees. He was great working with his hands and making things, especially woodworking. Raymond was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, and loved fishing, gardening, and most of all, his family.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (Gustafson) Day; son, Jeremy Day and his fiancée, Edina MacDonald; daughter, Megan Day; brother, Wayne Day and his wife, Suzanne Philp, and their children, Moriah Day and her husband, Alex Wheeler, and Emmah Day; and sister, Elaine Bogan and her husband, John, and their children, Kristin Kelley and her husband, Michael, and Nicholas Bogan and his son, Rory. He was predeceased by his parents.
A memorial service will be held 11AM October 30, 2021, at the Greenville Chapel of Lary Funeral Home on Pritham Ave., Greenville. Burial will immediately follow at the Shirley Cemetery.
