LaGrange – Ida D. Higgins, 64, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2021, at her home. She had a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. She loved her family and friends fiercely. Ida was a homemaker while her children were growing up and worked odd jobs after. She enjoyed spending special time with her grandchildren, listening to music, visiting family and fishing with her fiancé, Mike, and special friends. She was born July 20, 1957, in Bangor, the daughter of Woodie Sr. and Ruth (McGlaughlin) Sherwood. Ida is survived by her fiancé, Michael Blowers; her sons, Neil Higgins Jr., and Daryl Higgins; daughters, Marci Moulton, and Sabrina Theriault, and their significant others; brothers, Raymond, Frank, and Robert Richardson, and Woodie Sherwood Jr; sisters, Lucy Curtis, Pauline White, and Cathy Harriman; 21 grandchildren, Joseph, Dakota, Brooklynn, Rachael, Tyler, Dawn, Jessica, Shawna, Jeremy, Clarence Jr., Cole, Rylee, Justin, Jessie, Camren, Bradley, Madyson, Jonathan, Jacob, Emily, and Evelyn; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents. A graveside service will be held 10AM Saturday, October 16, 2021,at the Lassell-Drinkwater Cemetery, 892 Moody Mountain Road, Searsmont. At 2PM there will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Charleston Town Hall 125 School Rd, Charleston. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
