Obituary of Jacob Logan Campbell

Please share a memory of Jacob to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Exeter – Jacob Logan Campbell, 18, was involved in a car accident on September 11, 2021, which resulted in his death. Jacob was born at 7:40am on April 8, 2003, at Mayo Regional Hospital. He grew up in Exeter with his older brother, Jason Edward Campbell II, his mother, Crystal Gail Davis, and his father, Jason Edward Campbell. Jacob was an active member of the S.A.D. #46 School District. His first days of school started at the old Dexter Elementary/Middle School Building. Jacob was fortunate enough to be part of the transition to the brand new “Ridgeview Community School” before entering the Dexter Regional High School. Through the years of school Jacob enjoyed outside activities with friends and family. Through his older brother Jacob developed a love for sports. His deepest passion was truly basketball. During Jacob’s high school years he achieved many goals, including honor roll status with schoolwork and endless hours of basketball on and off the court. Jacob’s basketball icon was the one and only Kobe Bryant. Jacob took the title “student athlete” very seriously. He always gave 100% in everything he tried. Jacob also tried soccer at a young age and turned to football as his secondary sport, which he continued through middle school and high school. One of his proudest moments of his sports career was being part of the extraordinary team of “Tigers” who achieved the regional championship and the trip to the state finals! After high school Jacob turned his focus and hard work to money. He decided college was not what he wanted and that going to work was a better choice. His first job was at the local supermarket; he decided very quickly that it wasn’t quite enough. He found his second job as a gas station attendant for a full-service gas station, which is when his passion for the automotive world really shined!!! Jacob was caring and loyal, quick witted and big hearted. Even though he was a little brother, he was a big brother to anyone who needed one. He had a smile that could instantly light up a room! Sometimes a goof-ball, sometimes a classy hustler, always exceptional and dedicated, Jacob was wise beyond his years and he will be forever missed. He is survived by his parents, Jason Edward Campbell and Crystal Gail Davis; his brother, Jason Edward Campbell II; multiple grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and an endless number of friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Dexter Regional High School Football Field. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
