Greenville- Willard E. Fay 93, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2016, at his home. Bill was born April 19, 1923, in Racine, Wisconsin, one of ten siblings. He is the son of Clemon and Ellen Raefeldt Fay. Bill grew up in Wisconsin and following high school enlisted in the US Army and later US Air Force, where he proudly served during World War ll. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucy Francese Fay, two brothers, Ray and Ervin. He was predeceased by his son Clemon W. Fay, whom he adored. Bill was quite a character and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, his grocery shopping trips to Indian Hill, and each day living at Moosehead Lake. A very special thanks to his Oliver Road friends and nearby neighbors who "looked out" for Bill and made it possible for him to remain at home, which was so important to him. Visiting hours will be held 5-7p.m. Wednesday, September 7 at the Greenville Chapel of the Lary Funeral Home located in the Masonic Lodge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11a.m. Thursday, September 8, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Greenville, officiated by the Rev. Aaron Damboise. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Holy Family Building Fund, Fay Family Classroom, P.O. Box 457, Greenville, ME. 04441. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street, Dover-Foxcroft, ME. 04426
