Guilford - Laura "Laurie" (Packard) White, 55, passed away peacefully at home in Guilford, Maine, on September 8, 2021, after a short illness. Laurie was born October 22, 1965, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. She attended Foxcroft Academy and later earned her Bachelor’s in Library Science with a minor in English from the University of Maine at Augusta in 1996. She balanced being a wife, mother, employee, and full-time student to finish college. Laurie was an avid reader, and her work at local libraries, including a special time at PCHS, was her dream career. Laurie married the love of her life, Andy White, on June 27, 1987. They enjoyed 34 years of marriage together, raising four children in Guilford. Anyone who knew Laurie knew she loved to have fun. Her sense of humor made every situation a little more entertaining. Laurie loved books, crocheting, and going to thrift stores and yard sales. Laurie was predeceased by her mother, Gail Burke; father, Roger Packard; her sister, Cindy; and her best friend, Gloria. She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew White I; her children, Jessica Burdin and her husband Nick, Alysson Michaud and her husband Eric, Brooke White, and Andrew White II; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Rylee, Jaykob, Taylor, Carson, and Autumn; her stepfather, Carl Burke; her stepmother, Dianna Packard; and her siblings, Christine, Sandra, Tim, and Charlie. Graveside memorial services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford, Maine.
