Mary Jane and family, Please accept my condolences. Phil's parents stood up with my parents when they were married in 1940. Phil, his parents and siblings were neighbors of our family growing up in Guilford. I will miss seeing him around the Bangor area and I will miss his private messages on Facebook. Rest in Peace Phil .....Love, Valerie Harris Webster

Our sincere condolences to Jane and Family. I’ve known Phil for 63 years meeting on the USS Midway CVA 41 in 1958. We worked next to each other for 2 1/2 years in the Personnel Office. Working, eating chow, sharing berthing compartments, going on liberty together shows our dedicated friendship. Being asked to be his best man when married was a honor. His phone calls I will truly miss. Rest In Peace My Friend!
Your Navy Buddy and Shipmate,
Jack Burrous, PN2

My sincere condolences to Mary Jane and all the family.
The last time I saw Phil was the first time I had seen him and Mary Jane since my beloved Bill died.
Phil got up from sitting and slow danced with me.
It was very respectful and his way of showing he cared.
He was just being Phil.
He was a good guy.
