Dover-Foxcroft – William J. Farr, 84, beloved husband of Lois M. (Salley) Farr, passed away September 13, 2017, at his home.  He was born November 2, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Francis and Vivian C. (Andrea) Farr.  A 23 year veteran with the United States Air Force, Bill had served in both Korea and Viet Nam. After retiring he worked at Hughes Air Craft in California for eight years, before returning to Dover-Foxcroft. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois of Dover-Foxcroft; a son, Kevin M. Farr and his wife, Charlotte, of Dover-Foxcroft; a daughter, Vivian C. Farr and her husband, Craig Troyer, of Florida; two brothers, Francis A. Farr and Thomas Farr, both of Florida; four grandchildren, Nichole D. Kennedy, Randi McKenney, and Noah Kennedy of Dover-Foxcroft, and Devon A. Troyer of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Kohl Roberts, Kennedy Farr, Jamey Kennedy, and Jaxon Black. Bill was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Richard D. Farr; a sister, Arlene (Farr) Luddy; a great grandson, Michael D. Roberts; a special brother-in-law, Charles Moen; and an extra special mother-in-law, Ila M. Salley.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Dover-Foxcroft United Methodist Church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to either the American Heart Assoc., 51 US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074, or the American Diabetes Assoc., PO Box 15829, Alexandria, VA 22215, or to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018, or to the United Methodist Church, PO Box 62, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
