Brownville and Charlton, MA – Mary Davis MacLean died peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2017. Mary was born in Brownville on January 30, 1929, the daughter of Joseph W. and Virginia (Shaw) Davis. She graduated from Brownville Junction High School in 1946 and Beverly Hospital School of Nursing in 1973. Mary is survived by her three children and their families: daughter, Kristine and her husband, Ernest Bourgeois of Dartmouth, MA and Kristine’s two children, son, Michael of Wareham, MA and his daughter, Violet, and son, Geoffrey Gorman of Bloomfield, CO; son, Steven and his wife, Susan MacLean of Scituate, MA and their three children, daughter, Ashley and Michael MacCutcheon of Woburn, MA and their three children, Brady, Nora and Caitlin, son, Adam and Jennifer MacLean of Downingtown, PA and their three children, Lila, Henry and Max, daughter, Courtney and Aaron Johnson of Cherry Hill, NJ, and their daughter, Eleanor; daughter, Karen and her husband, Andrew Kasper of Windham, NH and their two children, daughter, Jill of Ipswich, MA and daughter, Erin and James Sabandith of Scottsdale, AZ and their two daughters, Ella and Emmy. Mary is also survived by her brother, Joseph W. Davis and his wife, Joan of Brewer. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Jean Davis Pollard, brother, Ronald Davis, and husband, Gerald L. MacLean. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at the Overlook Health Center, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring in the Pinetree Cemetery, Brownville Junction, with reception to follow in the Community Hall of the Brownville Community Church. In lieu of flowers, because of her love for reading, donations may be made in memory of Mary MacLean to: The Overlook Health Center, Activities Department, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507.
