Sangerville – Harold Charles Rolfe, 68, passed away March 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 20, 1955, in Dexter, the son of John Henry and Edna May (White) Rolfe. Bucky grew up in Dexter and attended Dexter schools. He loved retirement after 42 years as a technician at Guilford of Maine. Spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very important to him. He enjoyed many things; Star Trek, sci-fi books, crosswords and trivia to name a few. He loved food as a hobby. He cooked and smoked meat that he enjoyed sharing with the locals in the community. Bucky could spend all day talking and you could always expect a good joke from him to make you laugh. Bucky is survived by his son, Chris Rolfe and partner, Sue-Ann; daughter, Judy Rolfe; ex-wife, Wendy Rolfe; four grandchildren, Collin Marchant, Coral Marchant, Cody Rolfe, his partner, Olivia and children, Silas and Layla, and Caleb Rolfe; four step-grandchildren, Harley Murdoch, her partner, Jon, and son, Sage Williams, Henry Murdoch and daughter, Makenzi, Mercedes Murdoch, and Allan Murdoch; two brothers, Edward “Paul” Rolfe and Robert “Bobby” Clemmons; three sisters, Helen “Jean” Garland, Margaret Davis, and Nellie Tibbetts; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Sarah Aucock, John “Jack” Rolfe, and Doris Richardson. The Solar Eclipse was going to be a special occasion for him so there will be a celebration of life on April 8th starting at 12pm Noon at his home, rain or shine. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Sangerville, at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
