Greenville- Marjolaine Marie Mercier-Busque, 71, passed away December 20, 2023, at her home. She was born June 6, 1952, in Greenville, the daughter of Leodore and Marie Therese (Mercier) Busque. Otherwise known as Margo, Mumma, Gigi, Sister, and Ms. B, Margo will be loved and missed by her many friends, students, and family. She had a great love of adventure and the arts, and shared her love of live music with her two daughters, bringing them all over for shows. An art teacher for over 30 years, Ms. B provided a safe and positive space for her students of all ages. Margo also loved traveling and was an active part of EF Tours for many years introducing both students and adults alike to experiences all over the world. Greece being one of her most favorite. As a true French Canadian, she loved her sweets and maple candies. As an avid baker, she was known for both her awesome breads and her huge delicious chocolate chip cookies, which she would whip up and bake for you on a dime. She was a strong, independent, stubborn, beautiful angel on Earth that we are so blessed to have had in our lives. The amount of people that she affected with her kind heart and zest for life will not go unnoticed. Marjolaine is survived by her two daughters, Krissi Dyer and her significant other, Mike Carey Jr., and Lauree-Anne Hanson and her husband, Zach; two grandsons, Bennett and Spencer Hanson; sister, Berthe Leavitt and her husband, Cyril “Bud” Leavitt Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, James Busque. The family wishes to thank Nancy, Pat, Rachel and Mindy for their compassionate care of their mother. As well as her many other friends who often brought over food, treats, and groceries. A graveside funeral service will be held 11AM Friday, June 14, 2023, at the Greenville Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
