Milo - Josephine May (Bishop) Ricker,95, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. Jo was born January 3, 1928, to Earl L. and Lillian M. Bishop of LaGrange. She graduated from LaGrange High school as Valedictorian of the class of 1945, a class size of 7. She continued on to graduate from the Maine School of Commerce, now known as Husson University. Josephine married Bernard Ricker of Milo on February 24,1951, before he entered the Army. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage before his death in 2017. Jo worked in several offices, the longest as a legal assistant for Neil H. Hamlin, esq. This professional relationship developed into a lifelong family friendship . The family thanks Neil for his unwavering dedication in visiting Jo over the years. They shared many stories and laughs.  Josephine is survived by two daughters, Debra Walker and husband, David, and Diane Delano and Bill London; three grandchildren: Amanda Walker (Troy Crocker), Andrew Walker (Nicole), and Taylor Delano; two great granddaughters, Madelynn and Ruby; one sister-in-law, Jean Bishop. Josephine was predeceased by three brothers, Earl Bishop, Jr., (Joan), John Bishop, and Albert Bishop (Norma). Jo will forever be remembered by friends and family as a true lady who lived with grace, dignity, kindness, and a friend to all.  Jo resided the last eight years at Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover-Foxcroft. The family appreciates the compassion and care provided by many of the CNA's and nursing staff of B wing.  Graveside services will be held 11AM Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Milo.
