Obituary of Scott A. Davis

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Guilford – Scott A. Davis, 59, passed away suddenly November 21, 2023, in Enfield, while working. He was born July 6, 1964, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Theodore “Ted” Charles Davis. Scott owned and operated Scott A. Davis Trucking for many years. When Scott wasn’t on the road trucking, he enjoyed being on his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren. In the trucking world Scott was known as “Hammer.” He always had to have as much power possible in anything that he drove. He had many stories about trucking and the guys who he worked with. There was never any wondering how Scott felt about anything; he would tell you his opinion whether you’d like it or not. Not many people got to see the soft side of him, but those who did were truly lucky. Scott is survived by his daughter, Ashley Rideout and her husband, Kyle; two sons, Chad Davis and his wife, Emily, and Scott Davis and his wife, Krystine; seven grandchildren, Ezra, Cole, Connor, Ivy, Avery, Nora, and Sawyer; mother, Kay Moody; two sisters, Kathy Littlefield and her husband, Bill, and Trisha Draper and her husband, Tony; half brother, Troy Nesbit; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He will be missed by many friends. Scott was predeceased by his father, Ted. A graveside service followed by a celebration of Scott’s life will be announced in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
