Constance Ann (Alden) Parkman Obituary

Dover-Foxcroft—Constance Ann (Alden) Parkman, 86, of Dover-Foxcroft, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026,at Hibbard’s Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Wesley Earl Parkman Jr. Connie was born May 25, 1940 in South Berwick, ME, the daughter of Ernest and Ruby (Ferris) Alden.


Connie worked at Guilford Woolen Mill. The family moved to Milo in the early 1960s. She then worked at Dexter Shoe for many years. Connie returned to school in the mid-1980s to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked for St. Joseph Healthcare in Bangor, Hibbard’s Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft and provided private in-home care well into her 70s.


Connie loved worshiping at the Milo Baptist Church where she was a member and sang in the choir for many years. As travel became challenging, she worshiped at the Discovery Bible Church in Dover-Foxcroft, where her church family grew. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and board games, and dining at various local restaurants.


Connie leaves behind a daughter, Sheila Grant of Randolph; sister, Elaine Alden of Belfast; sister-in-law, Inez Carey of Howland; brother-in-law, Brian Parkman of Bangor; special friend, Paul Garrelli of Thorndike; brother-in-law, Duane Parkman of Dover-Foxcroft; niece, Angel Carey of Holden;and many loving friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was predeceased by her son, James Parkman; two half-brothers, Carleton and Sterling Alden; brothers-in-law, Delmont Carey, Alton Libby and Gordon Herrick; and nephew, Michael Carey.


A graveside service for close friends and family will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Park Street, Milo. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, at the United Baptist Church, 8 Pleasant St., Milo. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send a contribution to Pine Tree Hospice, 883 W.
